Paving The Way To Paradise

When taking a closer look at this shot, besides attempting to understand the hard work that goes into the art of masonry, you can somewhat make out the porous surface of the aircrete that we mentioned before. Just like applying concrete, the material is softly molded over the bricks to conceal spaces and holes and does not take much time to dry!

Another major benefit of using autoclaved aerated concrete is its impressive insulation capability. Not only do its properties include being flame-resistant but the material also works as a cheap insulation system, keeping Areen warm on the colder nights. You won’t believe how it looks when it finally all comes together!

Getting Closer To His Dream

The almost igloo-like shape of the unfinished building really gives us a feel for how the original architecture looked when Gibran imagined the entire concept. It is clear that this brilliant man, farmer, and friend has a knack for creating sustainable buildings with the stunning curves he graced this dome with.

If you look closely, you can see the beginning of the floor being laid in this picture. Made of the same material as the structure, the aircrete allows for comfortable footing with its sponge-like surface but is still firm enough to avoid sinking. You can almost begin to see what Areen was imagining when he thought of his dream home.
