Talk about going from the absolute heights of flight to the lowly garbage… Can you imagine actually living in a garbage can? You’d have thought it would be too small to really make much use of the space, but it’s really amazing what you can do with the tight squeeze of the “six-yard humpback.” Artist Gregory Kloehn purchased the little green dumpster for $1,000, and then converted it into a living space.

“I was going to make it a little rougher at first,” he said, “but then I started and I thought, ‘Let’s put in some granite counter tops. Let’s put in some hardwood floors. Let’s really make it luxurious and liveable — really take everything a regular home has and throw it into this small a space.” So, you’ll see he made a few essential modifications.
