Of course, there’s even a comic book character of a superhero version of Putin. While most dictators only have statues and works of art made of them, Putin has all of that, and this too. Rissian writer Sergei Kalenik created the webcomic that portrays Russia’s president as a judo fighting “Superputin”. The comic is inspired by the film Speed as Putin must stop a bomb from detonating on a bus if it falls under 50 mph. Superputin also has to face zombies, and other forces, a strange but somewhat effective way to promote nationalism and raise support for Russia’s leader.
