Because he’s Vladimir Putin, he has become accustomed to creating sayings that haven’t ever existed before he said them. These phrases have been come to know as “Putinisms” and it’s better to just turn a blind eye rather than question what he’s talking about. The Putinisms usually come about during his annual Q&A sessions in which he answers questions from anyone across the country. One particular Putinism that stands out when he was asked why he didn’t extradite the US whistleblower Edward Snowden in 2013. He replied by saying that he wouldn’t respond on the issue because “it’s like shearing a pig-lots of squeal but little wool.”
