It’s clear that Putin is not the person to shy away from much, especially when it involves high speeds. So, he jumped on the opportunity to help establish F1 racing tas a sport in Russia. In 2010, he signed a deal with the F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone to bring F1 racing into the country for seven seasons from 2014 to 2020 in Sochi. Of course, however, bringing the sport into the country wasn’t enough and Putin had to try his own hand at it. Just one more unusual but not surprising activity that the President of Russia can cross off of his bucket list.
