Guess What? He’s Running For President Again

In Moscow, on December 6, 2017, Vladimir Putin announced that he would be running for a fourth term as president of Russia. The election will take place in March of 2018, and he’s expected to win without any hitches. With this win, another full six-year term until 2024 would make his 24-year run the longest position held since Joseph Stalin who sat in the Kremlin for 29 years. Many believe that Putin is going to use this term to make constitutional changes in order to stop further constitutional changes so he can keep his status as one of the most influential and longest rulers in Russian history.
