First Time Meeting Trump

In July of 2017, Trump and Putin met in person for the first time at the G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. The leaders had a two-hour meeting where they discussed several issues including the allegations about Russia tinkering with the United States presidential elections and the war in Syria. They were also seen talking together informally while at dinner with the other heads of state that same evening. Although their meeting was supposed to end the suspicions about Russia’s involvement in the US election, it didn’t work out that way, and for some, did the exact opposite.
