In 2014, on Putin’s 62nd birthday he was gifted an art collection by an artist which were images of the “12 Labors of Putin”. These 12 labors were essentially an ode to the 12 labors of the legend of Hercules from Greek mythology. However, instead of Hercules fighting a lion or Medusa, it’s Putin himself doing similar acts against his current enemies. For example, shooting down fighter planes using a bow and arrow, or grappling with the hydra with the four heads standing for the EU, US, Europe, and Japan. The artists choose to remain anonymous, but it’s quite the birthday present!
