Ronald Reagan was the first president who was considered by some to be medically unfit for the job. He was already 70 years old by the time he started his first presidential term and suffered from frequent urinary tract infections and had to undergo surgery to remove prostate stones.

The POTUS also developed temporomandibular joint disease and arthritis. During the second to last year of his presidency, Reagan had serious prostate surgery as well as surgeries to remove skin cancers.
