Another WWII Vet Buck Young

Just like Frank Sutton, Los Angeles native Buck Young spent time in the military before taking on the role of Sergeant Whipple on the Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C. show. Instead of enlisting, though, Young was drafted into the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. On February 9, 2000, Young passed away at the age of 79. His last role was on a 1992 episode of Columbo.
