British singer, songwriter and rap artist Alison Moira Clarkson originally took on the stage name Betty Boop because she shared the character’s signature look and style. In order to avoid trademark disputes, she changed her name to Betty Boo. Numerous cartoons have made Betty Boop parodies, such as The Powerpuff Girls, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Simpsons and Family Guy, to name a few.
