The Romance Between Angela and Dwight

While Angela and Dwight carried on a secret office romance through much of the show, avoiding each other at functions and speaking in code, the writers were dropping hints for fans from the first episode. In the pilot, we see Dwight Schrute humming the song “The Little Dummer Boy.” It may seem like an odd choice if you weren’t paying attention, but Angela says that this is her favorite song later in the series.

While their romance was never idealized like the office relationship between Jim and Pam, the series finale of season nine features Dwight and Angela’s wedding with all of their coworkers in attendance.
