Carol Stills Was Played by Carell’s Wife

Carol Stills was a woman who reluctantly dated Michael Scott before breaking up with him after he gave her a terrifying Christmas card with his head superimposed on her ex-husband’s body. Carol was played by Saturday Night Live alumna Nancy Carell (née Walls). In real life, the couple has been married since 1995 and have two children together, Elisabeth and John.

Nancy and Steve met when she was taking an improvisation class he was teaching at Second City. They also worked together as correspondents on The Daily Show, and she cameoed as a sex therapist on The 40-Year-Old-Virgin and played Linda in Seeking a Friend for the End of the World. The couple created the TBS comedy Angie Tribeca starring Rashida Jones together.
