Fox is well known for portraying the young, staunchly Republican character Alex, during the conservative ’80s, on “Family Ties.” But that doesn’t mean he was only popular with conservative fans of the show. But it wasn’t exactly what you might think. Republicans thought he portrayed their viewpoint well, and Democrats though the was doing a good job satirizing the conservatives.
