Ariana Grande Bids 2018 So Long, Deletes Touching Mac Miller Tribute
2018 was uncanny for many entertainers. Kanye West attempted to make America great again by “leading with love,” Cardi B got into a heated tussle with rap rival Nicki Minaj, and megastar Ariana Grande made headlines for several different reasons all year.
First, it was her split with the now late, Mac Miller and the immediate engagement with Saturday Night Live member, Pete Davidson. Miller passed away from “mixed drug toxicity,” according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner.
His untimely death is what helped fuel the separation of Grande and Davidson on Oct. 14, 2018. Since then, Grande made several social media posts remembering the life of “angel” Mac Miller including a heartfelt Instagram post. However, when the new year rolls around, people tend to adopt new life policies.
“Farewell 2018, you [expletive],” Grande wrote on her Instagram picture from Dec. 30, 2018. “I hope this new year brings you all much laughter, clarity, and healing. Be gentle with yourselves and each other. If we made it thru this last year, we’ll for sure make it thru this one. Thank you for everything.”
The collateral damage was deleting the touching post about her rapper ex. When Grande opened up about grieving, she said, “everything I feel is valid and safe,” Grande continued. “There is no right or wrong during this period.”
