Vinyl has been around for a long time and there’s a difference between the belt and direct drive.

The belt drive spins the platter using an elastic belt that’s attached to the motor. In a direct drive, the platter is attached and spins directly from the motor. Direct drive turntables are the choice of turntable DJs use in clubs.
