Laird’s Intense Training Routine

The typical workout routine is nothing like Laird’s. He pushes himself to the limit while avoiding injury. Many of his workouts are done in the pool to improve strength and breathing technique simultaneously. He brings 50-pound dumbbells into the pool and also runs underwater with a weighted ball.
One of his favorite methods of recovering from a workout is soaking in an ice bath. His ice baths have become notorious in the professional surfing community, and he’s convinced others to get in the ice water as well. He is also known to hang upside down for 20 minutes a day improve blood circulation and stretch out his spine.
