Frequent yo-yo dieter Oprah Winfrey swore to herself that she would run a marathon by the time she turned 40.
She honored that pledge by completing the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. in 1994, at 4:29:15. That’s a 10:16/mile pace. Excellent job!
